Project Introduction
High school athletics are about far more than wins and losses. They're about school pride, community, and creating moments that players, families, and fans remember long after the final whistle. Working alongside the coaching staff, I developed a season-long communications campaign that brought those moments to life through photography, video, graphic design, and social media. Every piece of content was created to strengthen the program's identity and build excitement throughout the season.

the challenge
Every successful team has a story worth telling, but many high school athletic programs lack the time and creative resources to tell it consistently. West High wanted to celebrate its student-athletes while creating a stronger connection with players, families, alumni, and the broader community. The challenge wasn't simply documenting games—it was creating a recognizable visual identity that reflected the culture of the program from summer workouts through the final game of the season.
my approach
Rather than treating photography, video, graphics, and social media as separate projects, I approached them as parts of one integrated communications strategy. Weekly game-day graphics created anticipation before kickoff. Cinematic videos highlighted the discipline and preparation behind the scenes. Portrait sessions celebrated individual athletes, while game photography captured both the intensity of competition and the emotional moments that define a team. Together, these elements created a consistent visual voice that extended well beyond Friday nights.

the result
The project transformed individual photos, graphics, and videos into a unified storytelling campaign that reflected the values of the West High football program. Consistent visual branding across every platform strengthened the program's identity, celebrated student-athletes, and created content that players, families, alumni, and fans looked forward to throughout the season. More importantly, it demonstrated how thoughtful visual communication can build pride and connection within a community.
